The design proposal looks to maintain the garage's traditional vernacular while retaining the building's roofline. A new timber-clad facade, inserted into the existing first-floor structure, creates two generous-sized bedrooms, a family bathroom and a small studio space. The ground floor comprises an open plan living, dining and kitchen area with a small patio at the entrance.
